Ballhaus Naunynstraße

Naunynstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg stands for an artistic practice that has changed the theater scene: post-migrant theater. It was founded by Shermin Langhoff in 2008. Under the direction of Wagner Carvalho, black, queer and perspectives of color have taken center stage since 2013. Since then, the theatre with its in-house productions and interdisciplinary festivals has acted as a catalyst for postcolonial discourse and decolonial practices in art and everyday life. In 2023, it was honored with the Federal Theater Prize for its exemplary work.
