Cordillera - Raum für Körper und Utopien
CORDILLERA Berlin – a self-managed cultural centre for dance, performance and embodied research. Founded in 2020 by the association Die Körpergemeinschaft e.V., CORDILLERA Berlin creates a vibrant space for bodies that navigate between languages, cultures and histories – with a focus on perspectives from the Global South and diasporic experiences. At its heart is the body as a utopian space of coexistence, transcending cultural, gender and social boundaries and facilitating encounters based on solidarity. CORDILLERA Berlin offers a home to international and local artists: a platform that brings diverse artistic practices to the fore and connects trans-local collaborations within Berlin’s urban society.
