Mehringhof-Theater
Since 1985, the 230-seat Mehringhof Theater has become a premier venue for German-language cabaret—with a particular focus on politically charged entertainment—where both up-and-coming groups and solo performers share the stage with established stars such as Kurt Krömer, Fil, Horst Evers, Marc-Uwe Kling, Max Uthoff, Felix Lobrecht, or the Jahresendzeitteam, share the stage in this genre. In addition to cabaret, the theater also hosts stand-up comedy, musical cabaret, and concerts.
The Mehringhof Theater is not designed to rely on private or government subsidies. It finances its programming and the livelihoods of its staff exclusively through ticket sales and concession stand revenue. The theater thrives on and through the quality of its programming and the appreciation it receives from its audience. Like every project at the Mehringhof, the theater is financially independent.
