tak Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg
TAK is a collectively run independent theatre in Berlin that is open to Berlin-based and international artists and collectives. At the heart of the collective management concept are the artists and groups kainkollektiv (Bochum), suite42 (Berlin), Stefanie Aehnelt (Berlin) and Anna Koch/Moritz Pankok (TAK e.V. Berlin/Mülheim). Their shared focus is on transnational theatre work with artists both in Germany and abroad, addressing themes of globalised societies in the 21st century. To this end, guest artists are invited to the venue and, on many levels, a spirit of solidarity and openness is fostered within Berlin’s independent community of the performing arts and political activism. The tak is a place of pragmatically applied cosmopolitanism, situated between the neighborhood and the continents, offering a space to make the impossible possible.
