Theater der kleinen Form
Since 2006 we have been doing children's theater in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The name is program: "the small form". In our inviting, family rooms we can accommodate 50 spectators. The initiator, Evelyn Geller, has fulfilled a dream with this theater, which she had since her puppetry studies at the Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch". Our actors excel in sizes ranging from 20 cm to 2 m in plays written for viewers over the age of 3, and in such a way that even adults can enjoy it. We prefer modern fairy tales and texts, such as "The Very Unfriendly Crocodile" by Faustin Charles, or "Circus Schardam" by Daniil Charms. For more than 20 years we have been playing for this "most demanding and sensitive and critical audience", as the writer Franz Fühmann called the children's audience. During the week we play in the morning for day-care and school groups and on weekends for family audiences. In addition to our own repertoire guests and colleagues appear on us, so that we can present a diverse and varied program.
