Theater Verlängertes Wohnzimmer

The “Theater Verlängertes Wohnzimmer” is a small off-stage in Berlin-Friedrichshain. It took its current form in 2010 but has been used as a theater since 1967. Before that, until 1965, the building housed a cinema affectionately called the “Narrow Towel” because of its shape. The elongated layout with 60 seats remains and continues into the cozy, pub-style foyer. The theater sees itself as a laboratory for the performing arts, offering a diverse program from drama and dance to cabaret. It operates as a non-profit association run by dedicated volunteers.
